The award presention will take place December 15, 2005 at the national conference being held in Atlanta, Georgia. The NGWA award recognizes outstanding science, engineering, or innovation in the area of protecting ground water.
Stephanie Clemens, MWON coordinator, will accept the award at the national conference. William Sharpe, professor of forest hydrology and water quality extension agent, and Bryan Swistock, water quality extension agent, are the co-principal investigators on the project.
"The success of this program is largely due to Stephanie Clemens hard work," explains Sharpe. "We would like to thank all that have contributed time and resources to this program, especially the Pennsylvania Ground Water Association, the Pennsylvania Water Resources Center, and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. We also would like to acknowledge the hard work of the regional MWON coordinators and the hundreds on MWON volunteers around the Commonwealth."
